Also the selection for who gets to go to the field with Pride is gonna be insane!!! On top of that, they've got a huge standing army! I guess Freesia is pretty well off. It's not easy to keep feeding and housing that many soldiers all year round and all they do most of the time is patrol the palace and train. That's gonna be expensive!
This is only my hunch so no need to take it seriously, the war might not be animated this season. We might get the beginning of the preparation of the war. To get the full war arc animated, they have to make either OVA or Season 3 .

Being the one who remembers all those misdeeds, Val and Gil mentioned, will definitely eat on his personality in the future. I hope his love and dedication towards Pride will keep him on the right track instead of corrupting him. Also, sooooo excited on how the war will go. I love wars in anime! Hope it's animated well or at least give us some good twist and tactical warfare!
