We get martha and mr Handerson backstory short memo:
both were imperial scholars but Henderson graduated early and became the teacher of the tonitrus lady and martha. Martha was a great ballerina during their time as students martha helped Henderson to fight bullies she literally kicked them he said elegant the first time after meeting her they both drank tea together many times Henderson loves drinking tea with people due to the war quality of tea decreased and they needed to buy cheaper one cause martha asked why tea taste different from last time. Martha loved Henderson but never confessed during a party graduation of martha idk what it was but an event everyone gets to choose their partner to dance with martha asked Henderson who was her teacher at that time he said yes as martha was going to confess an alarm blared saying war has begun seek shelter everyone started running but it was a false alarm and martha just didn't confess the contract company for ballerina dance couldn't select martha I don't remember if company got shut or what happened to it . Then martha got very sad and heard on the radio that their country needed soldiers so she decided to join the army for her country as she had nothing left Henderson asked her not to do it It was dangerous but martha had made her decision. Soon she started her training it was tough she was in an only female group of soldiers it was given a special name i don't remember during that time Henderson and martha used to write letters to each other as war progress they stopped causing sending letters was getting harder for mailmans i won't go in details but she almost died and got saved by an old lady from other country they were fighting against then she started her journey to get back home and meet her family and Henderson old lady gave her some clothes money and bread but didn't tell her secretly she felt that as a woman she will get caught and had disguise herself as a man and after trying to cross border she fainted and other country soldiers were going to sh. T her but other soldiers told them that war ended so no meaning of doing that martha heard that and was happy soldiers spotted her from her home country and took her she got treated and then their journey to go back home started there was a soldier boy who took care of all and even gave his food and clothing to others in train to Berlin he asked martha will u marry me but she said no cause there was someone else in her heart he accepted that at morning he was dea/ due to cold at night so hyperthermia i guess martha was sad in Berlin when Henderson heard from news that many women from that group died or missing one of them was martha Henderson was very sad he said something against government or something for martha caus he was sad he got thrown in jail but his wealthy noble Father said stop being stupid and marry the girl i choose and I'll get u free he aggred when martha returns after meeting her parents she goes to meet Henderson he hugged her but his wife came and asked who is she he said she was my student she came back from war Marathas heart shredded into pieces later we see martha was telling all this to Becky she said it is so unfair if war never happened circumstances would have been different why did u join even second war after that while crying. Martha agreed Becky said that man is hender……!? Martha put a finger on her lips and said u should not be getting on someone's business everyone is allowed to have secrets we see martha going to put flowers on Henderson wife's grave and met Henderson there for a fact his wife was a kind person and Henderson loved her
