Episode Summary：
Joined by Ram, Rem, and Meili, the party ventures into the treacherous Augria Dunes in search of the Pleiades Watchtower. They stop by the town of Mirula and come across a grim warning: for 400 years, not a single soul has reached the tower. The trek is a nightmare. While Meili’s Divine Protection keeps the swarming witchbeasts at bay, the group must still endure the windstorms of Sand Time. Yet, no matter how far they march, the tower gets no closer. Facing the same trickery that once thwarted even Reinhard, Ram uses her Clairvoyance to find a way forward.

📖 Synopsis：
Subaru and his allies barely win the brutal battle in the Watergate City of Pristella, but at a high price. Rem remains in an endless sleep due to the Authority of Gluttony, Crusch’s memories are still missing, and Julius has lost his very name.
In the midst of searching for a solution, Subaru learns of the all-knowing Sage Shaula. They set their sights on the Pleiades Watchtower, where the Sage resides. The lone tower stands at the edge of the vast Augria Sand Dunes, a deadly desert even the strongest Sword Saint, Reinhard, could not conquer.
Fierce terrain, unknown witchbeasts, and unimaginable threats stand in their path. Together with his companions, Subaru begins another perilous journey, staking his life to reclaim everything taken from him.

Some LN Extra Details (Volume 21, Chapter 1.9-3)
– Initially Roswaal asked Julius for a favor to help with Ram's condition during the journey, Subaru and Emilia does not know that this is tormenting her to this day about this even though Subaru is aware of her losing her horn
– Subaru embarassed on misunderstood for year about Ram going to Roswaal's room for a sort of `secret meeting` until now.
– Julius would like to help, but due to his name taken, he communication with his spirits, but they are still being around him, possibly because of remnants of their bond they once had.
– Subaru has learned how to get along with Julius during their trip from Pristella until now and the seems to banter a lot more friendlier now.
– Julius mentions that it is a rare talent to borrow strength from passing lesser spirit like Emilia does. He can only draw strength from spirits he known for years
– When Julius talks about Reinhardt, Subaru wonder how his parent's expectation on him are like, holding the responsibility of inheriting his grandmother's blessing at about 5 years old.
– The bartender told Emilia and Subaru that he heard stories that the miasma in the dunes eats your heart and body out.
– Subaru realised that the bartender has lost a leg, probably trying to get through the dunes as well. He might be a bartender in this area to warn everyone trying to cross the dunes since he just have the tavern for fun.
– Joseph is a Gilas dragons, the species that is well suited for sandstorms and dry environments which moves on four legs and a bit bigger than typical land dragons.
– Julius mentioned that Patrasche is a Diana dragon. a descendant of the first dragon said to rule over land, sea, and air. She is well adapted to most environments.
– Shaknar is Julius' trusty blue land dragon's name which he initially wants to bring along, but gives up dues to it not obeying him because of the memory loss.
– It has been 1 year and 50 days since Subaru met Ram.
– Subaru wasn’t sure whether Julius realized it, but in the past twenty days, he had told Subaru about himself in all sorts of ways, probably partly because of the trauma of having been forgotten
– Julius theorises that the watchtower was supposedly made in order to keep watch on the shrine, where the Witch of Jealousy resides.
– When Subaru first used Invisible Providence against Garfiel, it had felt like half of his body had been stolen from him. But this time all that happened was he was breathing a little heavily.
Differences from LN
– The bartender does not go out while warning them about the Dunes. All happened inside the tavern.
– Anastasia does not directly pointed out that Beatrice knows about her situation. She was narrowing her eyes, glancing at her when Betty mentions on trusting a fox.
– At night, the stars should not be visible due to being covered by miasma, and they cannot see the tower as well during the night time. Is is only visible once they passed the sandstorm.
– In LN, the flower garden scene is depicted as daytime.
– I remember Subaru wiping Beatrice's tear with invisible providence before his second death here and Beatrice want to say something to him, but she got one shotted before she can tell Subaru, and i'm a bit sad that it is not animated, but it is what it is.
Self Note
– It's quite awesome seeing this part animated. I have a bit of a hard time imagining how the warp zone looks like and this kinda helps. The audio design is awesome as well.
– I am expecting a bit more dark aura in the dunes due to the miasma, but it might be shown more on the next episode.
