Episode 12:Akira Oda Becomes an Assassin
Episode Summary:
At last, Akira comes face-to-face with Gram. The man before him makes no effort to hide his wicked and despicable nature, acting as if taking Amelia for himself were only natural. Worse still, he mocks Saran’s death outright, stirring a deep and furious anger within Akira. Having made up his mind to kill Gram, Akira pushes Amelia and Night away to avoid involving them in his revenge, and steels himself alone to do what must be done. But at that very moment, someone unexpected speaks to him.

📖 Synopsis:
High schooler Akira Oda is summoned to another world with his classmates.
Everyone else gets overpowered cheat powers, but Akira is stuck with the mundane class of Assassin, probably because of his innate lack of presence.
Yet somehow, his status as an Assassin obviously exceeds the Hero’s!
Akira begins to doubt the king of Retice, who summoned them to this world. He conceals his existence to uncover the king’s schemes, only to be falsely accused of a crime he did not commit and driven into exile.
He swears vengeance against the king and escapes into the unexplored depths of the Great Labyrinth of Kantinen, where he encounters the elf girl Amelia Rosequartz.
The curtain rises on the tale of a boy granted the power of an Assassin and his journey with an elf girl toward becoming the Silent Assassin.

Can just bro kill Gram first
14 year old assassin
No wonder why it foreshadowed the death of his classmates, dude was reluctant to unalive a bastard prob doesn't describe him that. Akira is way too soft hearted, that could cost him his life and friends, probably even his lover.
What a waste of time. The elf princess is another PITA, in a dog eat dog world yet she encouraged an assassin not to kill?
She's definitely the one who will cause this weak assassin his death sooner or later.
Ik many people in the comments doesn't really like (or hate maybe) this plot. But to me, this character is a good breeze to the plethora of MC (at least as far as i know). In this episode we finally see him fighting truly like an assassin, rather than a swordsman with high stealth status.
Again, being in Assassin's class is not his choice, but he can choose what kind of assassin he will become.
But, yeah, I'd like to see Gram's d**th too. Dang it.
So he's a pathetic assassin 😔
Everyone is complaining how the MC had to dwell too much on taking someone's life. The dude wasn't born and raised as an assassin. He's only an assassin by title, he was practically a normal high school student just a over a month ago. He may have taken monsters' lives. But a more sentient life? He couldn't even bring himself to take the life of a sentient talking cat, much so that he'd rather not finish the labyrinth. If Amelia didn't tell him how to circumvent the labyrinth's clear condition, he'd probably still be stuck in the labyrinth contemplating on whether to take Yor's life or not. I'd bet some of you won't even be able to take a life of a chicken.
Why is he acting like he killed an innocent man? Your literally in another world stop being dramatic it's pissing me off. Makes me wanna root for the enemy omfg
I'm sorry, but I can just say that he's a coward. Just say yes or no, without too much drama. 🙄
That Time I Reincarnated as an Overthinking "Assassin".
Trash anime.. Fxcking trash..
I think they shouldhve just realised episodes 9-12 all at the same time. No point waiting for the dramatisation, albeit justified. I hope theres another season
My problem with this anime, the MC so stupid, he didn't even cover his face when he met the princess at her room. Because of that, his mentor died and all of this story happened.
so killing some asshole would be like stealing his story…then what about hundreds story that were killed and exploited? so much drama that makes this once in a while matured isekai mc dropped to a lame and being a pain in ass…that elf and saran guy really played their parts well in this 4pm soap drama….in 4 eps he should have been reunite with his friends instead of being a wimp
This is a hard watch after watching Failure Frame and The world’s finest assassin. Touka Mimori got over killing in ep1 and Lugh Tuatha De is a top notch assassin from his past life.
1st of all he's not an assassin he's just a highschool kid who got summoned
Boring
People are mad because finally an MC with morals shows up. Maybe yall were too used to an MC whose morals are like a tunnel (if it's bad, then kill, a rather narrow ultimatum). MC here shows raw emotion that yall said to be dramatic, ofc it should be dramatic, he is choosing whether to kill a living being that may also change his way of life or just punish the bad guy just to be sane. And i'm pissed that some of the commenters who at one point of their life wishes that an anime with characters with proper character development will come, and now that it did yall just hating on it?. Also the death of that bad guy, i think it was intentional (haven't read the novel if its not ) to not have a scene of it, it may be due to censorship or it is like a contrast to the commanders death which is like the bad guy it is behind the scenes, also may be intentional to say that gram doesn't deserve a spotlight.
This a peak lvl trash! Dude spent a couple of episodes hesitating whether to kill an UB which undoubtly is the bad guy even at the last moment and yet didn't hesitate to kill a fellow assasin who wanted to snatch his prey!🤡
Besides assassination, isn't there a way to capture?
this is so corny
wow took you long enough to do that. story so short they had to drag it for several episodes.
Boring
The opening scene in ep1 was promising. I feel cheated.
More like my status as hypocrite exceed the assasin 😂
This mc is sucks 😂 all he wants is drama. Bruh his enemy want kidnapp his girl then hesitate to kill his enemy 😂 don't say "he's a teenager" even teenager, when their love one is in danger they didn't hesitate to kill
This protagonist is so overly dramatic and weak hearted. Hoping for his comlanions to die for him to realize the truth about his situation.
Author messed up the MC. Lots of BS as everyone points out. Saran was the nation's knight leader . Yet told MC not to kill. Did Saran and his knights never kill anyone in battle. Its not logical.
Yeah this story, the ML like to make us the viewer suspense, intense and heavy. I guess k1ll1ng monsters is fine. Monsters also have story what?
Elf girl is useless than sakura
I would've liked to see him shake in that moment he killed Gram, would've brought all that to good climax ending of his psychological thought and his characterisation of someone who to the viewers at the start and to his allies all the way through that he always was indifferent cold etc. But in reality, human like any other, a teenager no less.
I like the shake he was shown later as shown in the anime. But it just didn't feel complete enough.
It's like you ate the appetiser (Build up of his dilemma and fear)
Then skipped the main course (the kill and the shake up during the moment)
and went straight to desserts (Coming to terms with it and his vulnerability to his most loved ones and getting accepted and him able to move on)
I like the visualisation when he did kill the other assassin, the fade out, it's like when the sword came to finish the job, he closed his eyes at that moment.
But for Gram, it's clear he didn't, he probably saw it all the way through as he killed Gram and felt nothing.
