Always a pleasure watching Mushoko Tensei. The pacing, character arcs, intriguing stories, and the unique fight choreographies are all at peak levels. I feel these two episodes showed more growth and proper pacing than 90% of other anime.
Those 21min runtime make it feel like I'm watching a movie and not an episode with how they're cut up and directed.

So this sword god daughter was in s2 too it was all connected
Now that's character development that makes you appreciate and keep watching a character. Episodes like this builds connection with audience. A clever arc.

Some LN Extra Details (Volume 9 Side Story, Volume 13 Extra Chapter)
– This is also covered in manga in chapter 63.5, 65 and 67
– Gall Farion thought that the Demon King has invaded Asura again, just to end up with a dissapointed expression after hearing her daughter's report.
– Isolte is surprised that people in the Sword Sanctum are all wearing light clothes, even under cold weather, which is the opposite of them.
– Reida brought Isolte along to ensure her that she is not grown too arrogant and self-satisfied. The Water God Style was the official style taught in the Kingdom of Asura, meaning it boasted many pupils, but it was rare for them to refine their talents past a certain point. So Reida brought her here so that she can taste defeat and thought that it will help her in a long run.
– Once Reida heard of Eris' objective, she thought this will be entertaining and would be a `three bird, one stone` kind of plan. Her star pupil’s pride would take the loss as a lesson. She’d also get plenty of practice against the Sword God Style. And Reida would get to take part in something very interesting.
– Normally, Eris would not even bother to offer her opinion in a group discussion, but that moment kind of reminds her of the discussion she and Rudeus did during their sword learning as a child in order to improve themselves.
Differences from LN
– Nina is not unconcious when fighting Badigadi, she is just injured and and have to slowly move.
– Nina is the person receiving Reida and Isolte at the Sword Sanctum, and the show them to Sword God. After that, she goes out to fetch Eris at Sword God's request.
– The monster hunting part is an original in the anime.
Self Note
– Nina's sidestory on finding Rudeus is one of my favourite moment in the series. The anime seems to cut it a bit short however.
– This is one of the moments i like on the manga more. It seems more funny and gaggy there and it became one of my favourite moment in the series. Kinda reminds me of Fullmetal Alchemist.
– Isolde's technique on parrying Eris is exactly the same as Paul's on Rudeus in season 1 before he was knocked out and sent to Eris' place
– The hunting part of the episode is an original addition I think, but I think it's a good addition to show the trio's dynamics.

i watched s1 when i was a grade 5 elementary student, and now im in senior highschool as a grade 12 student watching this new season TIME FLIES SO FAST.
It's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Satisfying watching Eris grow as a person. From Mad Dog to just slightly grouchy person who actually smiles and responds when spoken to.

Respect to Nina for going out of her way to confirm the global Rudeus glaze, albeit under tremendous copium, until reality hit her in the face. Then she took it remarkably well.
