7:44 so demoness sect is like a organization for assassin pathway? Then nighthawk organization was for seer specialist?

  2. My Thoughts on Lord of Mysteries (up to Episode 5)

The animation is superb, almost too superb if fact, that it feels like I’m watching a series of trailers rather than an ongoing show. Every scene, even the quiet ones, is filled with flashy transitions meant to look cool, but because they’re used so often, the effect wears off quickly. Even simple conversations feel like battles, and the constant effort to impress the audience becomes distracting. It feels like the studio is trying too hard to make every shot look cinematic.

The story leans heavily on deep lore, but the characters themselves lack depth. There’s too much exposition and too many info dumps that don’t feel natural. The “fog realm” concept is interesting and sets the main character apart, but it’s used more as a gimmick than something that builds personality or tension. The side characters exist mainly to react to how “brilliant” or “badass” the protagonist is. For example, when the MC shares a minor revelation, the Hanged Man treats it like the most important discovery of his life, making the scene feel forced and convenient.

The main character, meanwhile, feels oddly emotionless. Aside from his goal of returning to his old world, he doesn’t seem driven by much else. He acts too calm, as if nothing ever truly challenges him. Most of his power-ups come from lucky coincidences rather than effort or consequence, which makes them feel unearned. In a world that’s supposed to be dark and dangerous, that kind of attitude would realistically get him killed.

I’m only at Episode 5, but I’m already growing tired of the constant “cool factor.” The visuals are impressive, but when everything is made to look epic, nothing truly feels epic anymore.
