I'm a tarot reader and I speak Japanese (though not a native) and this is for those people who aren't familar with tarot cards because the author's meaning and intentions are very clear if you're familiar with tarot. Background info: there are 78 cards in tarot and 22 are called major arcana (because they're more importatnt) and these four assigned each other cards from the major arcana.
Irisu is The Empress. It signifies abundance, femininity and luxury. It also have the meaning of power and control. She's a cold ice beauty from an important family who tricked four of them (as well as "atashi") into coming and watching the movie as well as solving the problem of the ending for her.
Mayaka is Justice. Justice is almost always depicted with scales and a sword. And she has a very sharp tongue, her words are her scales and her judgement. She's stern with herself and others. But she's fair and won't bully others or push other people around. And while Mayaka seems hostile towards Oreki, it's just that Oreki is so aloof and disinterested in her so that's just her way of reflecting that back. And of course, with Chitanda she's soft and even calls her "chi-chan" which is very friendly and a cutesy name btw! She shortens Chitanda's name, rhymes it with a cuter "chan." With Satoshi, you can see that she doesn't let him push her around. I don't wanna give you spoilers but when we met her in the earlier episodes, Satoshi made fun of her and oreki by saying "hey, look! cute couple from our middle school" and she immediately shoots back "you shouldn't joke like that when you know my feelings." She likes Satoshi but won't take his jokes at her expense. And you'll see in later episodes and novels about how this "justice" and "fair" thing comes into view in her manga research club!
Fukube Satoshi is the Magician. The magician is the card no. 1 and depicted as a young man who controls all the four elements. But while capable, the magician isn't as powerful or capable like the other cards of power in tarot. And here we see the database of the group. Just like how the magician can control any of the elements but won't ever be as powerful as emperor, empress, high priestess or the hierophant, Satoshi can give out information but can't make conclusions. At first, he thought "maybe I'm the fool" because the fool is the joker who make other laugh and can be a little too proactive at times but then quickly realizes he's not as curious and that it suits Chitanda more.
Chitanda is The Fool. The Fool is either 0 or 22 of the major aracana (based on the user) and it signifies the beginning of the journey. The fool is curious, sometimes too naive, light-hearted but you can see there's something behind it. Sometimes they can't see where the roads they take will lead. And Chitanda is the fool of the group. She is extremely curious, sometimes she's such a bonehead. She doesn't get the meaning of simple things sometimes and has a tendency to start talking from the end and then backtrack. But she leads the way into the mystery. She's the fool that makes the classics club take the first step in their journey! If she wasn't curious, nothing would've been solved. And again, like the fool, she just looks dumb but actually she has layers of deep pain and responsibilities. She's an heiress to an old family with responsiblities and keeps perfect grades. The fool can be the first of the last card of tarot, it just depends on the scene. And Chitanda can be a curious lady who pushes Oreki into starting things OR she's can be the last heir of her family, completely burdened with all the responsibilites her ancestors have left her with.
Oreki can be the star or the strength. Satoshi argued for Strength, Chitanda aruged The Star. Well, I think Satoshi is right. The strength card traditionally has a lion and a lady petting the lion. The strengh is about the lion being a strong animal, as well as the lady being STRONG enough to tame and pet a wild animal like the lion. Oreki has the brain to logically figure out things AND the skills to put it to use by means of manipulation. Remember how he played Chitanda because he didn't want to investigate the music room, or that senior who is smoking? (And there'll be one in the later episodes too, which is my favorite) so Satoshi is right. Chitanda was saying he's the star because the star cards signifies hopes, dreams and also a sharp intellect that leads you to where you need to go. But that's how CHITANDA sees him as. She sees him as the light who guides her and solves mysterious she can't even begin to understand. He solved her uncle's mystery for god's sake so of course, she sees him as hope. So he's the star for her. But for us, the viewers who's seen how Oreki is able to manipulate others and Satoshi, his best friend, Oreki is undeniably the strength.
Yeah, this has been an explanation. If you're first time watcher, come back to this comment because this will make so much more sense after. And if you've read the manga or the novel but doesn't know about tarot, this comment will make you think about things SO HARD. As a tarot reader who's reading the original novel and the manga in japanese, I feel like going crazy from the amount of information the author revealed just by mere names of the tarot.

Fun fact— the full username of “I” in the subs is “watashi ♪”. Another word for watashi is ore, and the musical note can be interpreted as a musical “key”, thus the person chatting with irisu (and recommending the classics club!) is none other than houtarou’s older sister lol
