50 years later, Frieren visited Himmel. However, in contrast to her being no different from how she was 50 years ago, Himmel has aged a lot and doesn’t have long to live.

With that regret, Frieren heads on a journey to “understand people.”

  1. Started with Frieren confronting Aura with the moon behind her back, ended with Fern defeating Lugner with the moon behind her back.
2 different shots telling the same story, like master like disciple 🔥

  2. Tbh, Linnie is underrated. Her magic that lets her imitate other people's fighting styles is very useful. If she actually practiced using the copied techniques and improved on them, making those styles her own, she could've been an unstoppable melee fighter.

  3. At 17:11
1.she immediately went back down, she knows how much mana flying consumes despite the fact she's got A TON of it
    2. That little twist of her staff with one hand to deflect an attack was beautiful. Little to no movement and let the mana and speed do the rest. She really is Frieren's pupil❤

  4. I'd just like to get a bit of a deeper dive on the Stark-Linie fight.
So, Linie's magic schtick is basically being so proficient in mana detection and reading mana flow to the point that she is able to imitate fighting techniques of fighters and/or warriors that she have seen. Even Stark immediately recognized her movement (the initial attack) as that of his master's technique. With this, we can deduce that Linie is fighting at a level so close to Eisen's, at least in terms of technique. Stark, in comparison, may not be as good in technique. He does, however, possess superior physical power, sturdiness and resilience which he only realized much later on. For the majority of their fight, as at least shown in this episode, Stark was being kept on the defensive and was not able to land a clean hit on Linie until the last part of their battle. Only when Stark realized that Linie's attacks lack enough power in them to be a real threat for him that he decided to go on a gambit: he would go for his Lightning Strike technique, but deliberately showing an opening of his own as bait for Linie to counterattack. He was willing to tank it as long as it would allow him to land his own attack. Linie fell for the trap as she had little time to react and evade after she realized her counter failed to deal substantial damage to stop her target. On top of that, Stark's attack was just so freaking fast and powerful that despite being the only hit he landed on her, it was enough to finish the fight. Linie was not necessarily weak in terms of offensive prowess, it was just that Stark was just built so tough. He did after all took Eisen's attack(s) head on and survived.

TLDR: Linie had Eisen's Technique to a T so much so that she kept Stark on the defensive and was not able to find a clean hit for own attacks until he finally went for a catch and counter. Lenie's arrogance by playing with her food for too long and lack of strength to back those technique with enough power to overcome Stark's sturdy body and resilience led to her own downfall.

  5. I see people misunderstanding that Fern's strength lies on her MANA SUPPRESSION. Are u guys even watching the series and paying attention to what's been said? It's not about her MANA SUPPRESSION or how deep her MANA POOL is. It's about her spellcasting, reading mana accurately and as fast as possible like it's an instinct of her.

  6. That last attack of stark was actually very risky and could lead to death but unfortunately lenie was to pridefull and casual because stark was too open for that swing. When she attacked she realized the distance was too close to give a fatal blow and didn't have a full swing of the weapon. That's she instantly realized to back further down to counter but unfortunately stark was at full swing of the distance.

  7. 21:45 There's a very cool detail here!

    Spoiler Alert!!!

In Season 2 Episode 8, during Stark and Genau's fight against Revolte. When stabbed through the stomach, Stark used the same stance as Linie did here. And they even hit the same upward strike afterward.

But as Stark says "Yours really aren't heavy at all". As his attack was able to cut Revolte into two, while Linie's imitation barely hurt Stark. A very cool detail indeed!
