what’s sad about this episode is that:
1. she didn’t realize that that one minute saved so many lives which equate to her value as a person.
2. the wizards didn’t know ultear sacrificed all her remaining life to save them.

Ultear think the one minute is Low return exchange with her life, but actually returning the whole world 1 minute is crazy, example there is 100m of living life, mean there is 100m of life has force to returning 1minute… if the magic is like a scales, she use her time alone 70years(average human life time left for ultear) traded 100m of live 1minute which equal to 190year of times… just my theory since it not balanced of the scales i was talking so, it either there is no 100m life or the trade rule is different from what i think or ultear would live much longer than 70years then the outcome would be different
I just want to say trading whole world 1min is really crazy for one people alone as chips… this is what i think when the episode release at manga

If ultear hadn't reverted time by one minut, lucy would've never been able to meet up with her friends and the world couldn't have been saved. Her sacrifice fully played its purpose.
its sad that Ultear didnt know how many lives she saved and sad as well that no one know the sacrifice she made😭💔 but I think Gray found out about it eventually but still😭💔

What a character development of Ultear's.
I watch Fairy Tail episodes and I think "Man, if magic such as this existed irl, it would be so dark". People with power will probably make contracts with other people that they will use this spell and in-exchange the caster's loved ones will receive benefits.

That's why Fairy Tail was and still my favorite anime. Though some might find it cringe on the power of feelings and friendship, you would really understand where this is coming from when you really watched full episode of them. Each of these mates had painful experience in family, friends, and past. They were once unloved, lost loved ones, being tortured, hated life. That's their very core of how they became wht they are. And that's why they are very protective of what they have. Because that's what they haven't had.
