The entire Class 3-A scene is so freaking cringe and hard to watch (it ruined the entire UQH vs Negi-Ialda fight), it's just so god awful with the way it's excused. Not to mention the fact this crap never happened in the manga at all.
Also I'm not sure why did they even bother to put Dana there when they skipped the entire training arc which shouldve happen before this whole fight.
Edit: Oh plus also the fact the anime skipped off one of the best Jack Rakan moment in UQH as well lol

I think many people wonder why this anime has a very abysmal pacing, cringe moments and having a storytelling issues.
It's because the anime version is the cutdown version from manga. It'll take like 3-4 seasons at very least if they use all the material from the manga.
Why? UQ Holder doesn't have the same level of "polishing" or at least "story planning" like Negima, despite Negima also have been criticized about both.
There's a decent amount of posts on Reddit about this issues if you want to go deep what is wrong with it but basically Akamatsu wrote himself to the corner so he just abruptly use time skip as an excuse to push the story forward which isn't a good thing for manga that relies a lot on building the characters.
I mean the whole UQ Holder story are held by a very thin string of being "an alternative timeline" of Negima, basically what happened if the "good" ending of Negima doesn't exist and also told the "true" ending of Negima which was notoriously known for being rushed to end it (Kodansha had issue back then so many manga at that time got axed like crazy). So roughly speaking, he just used the nostalgia bait from Negima rushed ending and created this manga which received poorly as a result.
You can find the manga version to read if you curious about what the whole story is about. it's around 192 chapters and ends much better than this washed down anime. But still, I have to warn you that the pacing is still quite bad.
