Oh my, rewatching this really makes me have realisations 🫢 It's not that Karasuma is really dense about Irina (see final season ep 7, 7:58 timestamp) but he wants to keep the professionalism between them. Also, karasuma is… let's just say a 'assassination geek' where he relates every Irina's move as some strategy (lmao their supposed date night in the school trip in island arc was funny). It could also be that karasuma must've possibly seen Irina's advances to him that she's just 'honey trapping' him because he's a challenge to her since Irina can't seduce him with her methods. Anyway, their experiences and moments in class-e had them to have realisations and learn something not just by them having their own character development but also learning about each other that made them think that 'being with Irina might not be bad' or 'karasuma isn't really an iron wall that can't be crack'.
If karma fall in love on nagisa………….
