No matter how much thet use thier intelligence and wisdom but they can change the nature. The most confused is pouf now the king has already said that lier wont be alive , he will kill them personaly even after that he is still lying to his king when mureum comes to know his truth he will be dead surely. Emotions are the thing that even bothered king and he couldnt eacape from them. Pouf is also driven by his emotion and yiopi is already effected by it before in the battle. The interesting thing is the person who will face king.if netero know that king will survive after that he would target both royal guard but i think he must have planned it before the battle in which the king revies after this all.

In a way, I kind of understand why Pouf became a fanatic of his idea on how Meruem should be as a King. But it makes me sad how unlike Pitou and Youpi(at some point), he cannot go past the intended route that they had from the beginning, for Meruem to rule the world.
He really doesn't mean harm for Meruem, heck I bet he's thinking killing Komugi is the best option but his fanaticism hindered him from seeing what would make Meruem really happy.
All his efforts are futile, a reality he has to face later on.
