ah, yes, i remember this being the most controversial ep but didn't rlly understood why. now, i do
I mean I get Takami's worry and I get why Haruhu would respond in that manner. Takami was worried but raised his intonation and maybe not the right words for that time, while Haruhi just went through a dangerous/frightening incident so her mind and heart would be in chaos/fear.
Takami has a valid point but the wording "you're a girl", stereotypically… okay… but otherwise it's because Haruhi lacked self-defence or hasn't trained her reflexes much(?). So it's the person, but hey words tend to come out spontaneously when in worry/fear/amidst "chaos".
Glad they made up. Personally, that's what I picture how I would react if I were Haruhi/Takami. Meh depends on my condition 😂
Edit: I suppose Haruhi is more of an independent type of girl and not really princessy. Maybe that's why she reacted that way too.
