She is expected to live a life that is considered ideal by many however it's just not the kind of life she wanted and she just can't be her true self and live the way she wanted to due to expectations and fear of rejections which only makes her suffer from the inside like a bird trapped inside a cage without being able to enjoy the freedom of being able to fly as freely and as high as she wanted to in the sky.

tbh i dont think seigi was being disrespectful in the last scene, he was simply symphatizing with mami. Though it was nice to see that this issue was not adapted in an overly dramatical way, it was simply a person struggling to find shoes that she fits and tries to make a decision that will make her happy

it's not likely anyone will see this but i just wanted to say that the case files of jeweler richard is NOT bl bait, it's just an incredibly slow burn romance. if you read the light novels (the source of this anime adaptation) you'll love them because they're genuinely amazing.

they decide to have a romantic relationship in one of the most recent updates of the light novel 🙂 actual words were exchanged. it hasn't been translated officially into english yet, though. i would highly recommend anyone who's enjoyed the anime to check the light novels out – i promise you won't regret it!
